Contagious Faith (continued)
9Then they said one to another, Listen to this, we do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come that we may go and tell the king's household.
Father we thank you for your word we thank you for the anointing that is on your word. I pray in Jesus name that the word will not fall on a deaf ear but it will reach the ear of everyone that’s here we speak victory in their lives I pray this this morning we give you praise honor and glory in Jesus name and the church said... AMEN. We are gonna talk about being a contagious Christian.
There are 4 things, 4 attributes that a contagious Christian usually has #1 the first attribute of a contagious Christian is what he does when he finds a stock pile or what he does when he finds abundance, are you with me? We know that the people here that were in this town were in peril the Bible says that they were eating their animals and in the 28th verse the scripture goes on to say that not only were they eating their animals they were eating their children. A couple of women came up to the King and said ya know we made a deal last night we said last night if we'd eat my baby yesterday we'd eat hers today Oh Yes get your bible and read it. The bible says that the king run his clothes and wept and cried because these 2 women came up and she says and when it came time for us to eat her baby she took hers and hid him. so there were worse times than any of us have ever experienced. As a matter of fact we live in the land of plenty. We're pretty blessed around here.
This is a great country I wouldn’t wanna live anywhere else. I like it here I love the good'ole USA I like good hot/cold running water I like to turn on the air conditioner I like to drive down the street that’s got pavement on it I like driving in a good car and eating plenty of food I love this country. And with all of its faults and all of its failures this is the best place in the world you could live in right here in the good ole USA. Men and women have fought lived and died for this country and the freedom we have.
I thank God that its here But I am gonna tell you something there are other places where this very thing is going on today are you hearing me? this isn't anything new its been going on for years and its not anything that stopped back then its still happening today. Are you with me? And we find that in all of the cannibalism and all the mess eating their animals and their animals manure IN all that they had going on they had no answer to the problem I love that part you don’t know how many people come up to me and say you know Brother Jeff This just isn’t right and offer me no solution. If you come tell me it’s wrong and don't offer me a solution your just part of the problem my friend. All you’re doing is adding some stuff to it if you don't have an answer don't come caring anything to me... This just isn't working NO its not working well tell me how to fix it... Well I don’t know I just know it ain’t right you can’t know it ain’t right if you don’t know the opposite
The old saying goes sometime its better to leave your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open and remove a doubt I should’ve got a Hallelujah right there somebody should’ve done a lap right there. Ya'll missed it right there... But these people were in dire straights to say the least. and we find that 4 lepers sittin’ outside thinking if we go down in there where they got all the food and all the money and everything they have going on their gonna kill us.
One of'em got bright and said if we sit here we're gonna die anyway. So if we go in there we're gonna die if we stay here we are going to die so lets do something. I'd rather see someone try something and failing than doing nothing and calling it failing. Are you with me I'd rather see somebody making an attempt to make a difference, are you with me? I'd rather see somebody going in a direction at least to better themselves from where they are. Man have you ever had'em sit around all day whining and crying and complaining about what’s wrong in their life and doing absolutely nothing about it, are you hearing me?
