I Don’t Have Time
You cannot allow the devil to get in your life and mess with your stuff. You stand up on your feet, casting out everything that would exalt itself against God and I promise you that before the day’s over, you will be doing a dance and shouting “My God is a Consuming Fire and an Awesome God!” And He’ll get the glory.
I’ve learned in the last 18 years that you cannot out-give God! The church is going forward, and God is moving in this church. People are being saved…baptized in the Holy Ghost…healed…delivered. We are serving the Great God that is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all we could ever ask, above all we could ever imagine. I have learned, oh My God, have I ever learned, to say, “Lord, You are in control.” You can love a God like that and He’ll love you for everything you are, He will love you for who you are…in spite of you!
Some of you are struggling in your life, speaking bad things on yourself, speaking bad things on your children, speaking bad things on your mate. If you know who you are in Christ, if you’re outrunning the devil (if he’s shooting you from behind, then you are outrunning him) my Bible says that God will be your rear guard. He’ll watch your back if you’ll keep your breastplate of righteousness, the sword of the Spirit, the helmet of salvation, and have your loins clothed and your feet shod with the preparation of peace.
Understand this. You need to choose the battles you’re willing to fight. You can get into too many squabbles and be too tired when the real war’s on. When it’s really on, when you really need the Lord, you can be in so many foolish things that you can’t fight the real war…you’ll be worn out.
Do you know what speaking to the absent means? Let me help you with this. Speaking to the absent is saying everything about a person when that person is not there that you would say as if that person was standing right there and looking at you. Your back stabbing will stop if you will do that. It means being man enough or woman enough to say what you need while looking that person in the face. Change your thoughts, change your thought process, change the way you do things, leaving it in the hands of an almighty and all-knowing God and I promise that He’ll fix it.
I have learned the ways of the devil. I am not as smart as he is. You might think, well, we’re all smarter than the devil. No, oh no you’re not! That’s how he tricks you. The only thing you’ve got that’s smarter than the devil is the Holy Ghost that dwells in you, Jesus who dwells in you. In your mind, in your thoughts you can’t fight him. You have to pray, “God, what do I do about this situation?” before you say a word. Then God instructs you and you go in that path.
