Get Your Praise On!!!
Oh How Great it is to serve in the household of God! Now Come On Somebody Give him Praise in here! If You have your Bibles I want you to go with me to the book of 2nd Samuel. I want to talk to you tonight about the Praise of contagious Christians.
Say this with me" I am a priest and as a priest I have to bring God a sacrifice. The bible says that you are a priest I may be your Pastor but you are a priest. All of you that are born again are a priest. Peter said you are a royal priesthood a chosen generation. Are you with me? We are a chosen generation a royal priesthood a chosen generation You have been chosen by God as Christians. Most of the time most Christians don't see that. And a priest, his job was to bring a sacrifice to the Lord. Now I'm not getting in your money here cause I want you to know there is also such a thing called a sacrifice of praise. When we start talking about sacrifices in the church everybody starts grabbing their wallet or pocket book or other places where folk keep it. Some of you old timers know what I mean. There is this place in the bible where David says
we bring a sacrifice of praise. Most folk don't praise God and they wonder
why God isn't up in their business. Most folk because they don't praise God wonder why God don't move in their life. You wanna see God move you
wanna get around somebody where you see the spirit of God movin' you get your self around a praiser that loves the Lord who's heart is in it for the Lord and you will see a sacrifice of praise. If you wanna see God move in some body's life connect yourself to somebody who praises the God that I serve would you say Amen?
In the book of 2nd Samuel, I am a priest therefore because I am a priest it is my responsibility to bring a sacrifice to the Lord. How many of you believe that? 2nd Samuel 6th chapter, 12th verse. Stand with me for the reading of the word of God. We're gonna start in the 11th verse.
And the ark of the LORD continued in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months: and the LORD blessed Obededom, and all his household. What are you trying to say there Pastor I am telling you that where ever the presence of the Lord is the Lord is there and you are blessed wherever the presence of the Lord is welcome Do you hear what I am saying? blessing where he is accepted do you hear what I am saying? Where the Lord is allowed to reign free He will bless that place that's why I know He has blessed this church because his presence is allowed here and we don't refuse the presence of the Holy Ghost with some of our foolishness.
12And it was told king David, saying, The LORD hath blessed the house of Obededom, and all that pertaineth unto him Every body say all, that pertaineth because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obededom into the city of David listen to this with gladness Everybody say with gladness. David went and got the presence of God with gladness. You can't serve God without Gladness The Bible says the joy of the Lord that's what your strength is. You can't serve God without being glad . You can't come in here with your face all soured down and all scoured down in your seat well God bless me if you can. God ain't gonna bless you he ain't gonna move in your life, you've got no praise about you. And it was so, that when they that bare the ark of the LORD had gone six paces, What did David do...He sacrificed. Do you know why he sacrificed? Because the presence of the Lord was there are you hearing me? And David danced before the Lord. Now I'm gonna tell you something somewhere between this and 2007 somebody started telling that it wasn't right to do that in the house of God. Not only was David dancing in the house of God he was dancing before the ark of God which was representing the God that we serve. It's time that the church got a dance back in their step and a shout of victory back in their voice would you say amen. And David danced before the Lord with everything he had in him. and with all of his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod. 15So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with what? shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet. Oh my Let's go to one more we'll be alright here next verse there.
16And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michael Saul's daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before Jehovah; and she despised him in her heart
