What Everyone Should Know About Jesus!
Listen, it’s not the sinner God hates, it’s the sin. Turn to Matthew 9:9-11. Jesus ate with sinners. His disciples who were also sinners didn't have a problem with this. It was people that have problems with Jesus that had the problem. Listen, if you are a person you sin. God loves anyway John 3:16. Jesus loves you so much that he died for you.
But listen, there's a catch here. Simple knowledge of Jesus won't save you. The Devil knows about Jesus. Where is he going? Isaiah 53:10 Making Jesus' soul the offering for our sin is what covers us with salvation. Accepting Jesus in your heart won't save you. Saying the sinner's prayer won't save you.
If you believe that Jesus died for you and really want God to count his death as your punishment, then you are saved. Now, Jesus died for us. We ought to live for him! Jesus did not say you will know my disciples (those who are disciplined in the way of Jesus) by their hate one for another. John 13:34,35 Jesus says its our love that others know us by. Matthew 5:43-48 Jesus says we even need to love our enemies.
Listen, if you think Jesus hates anyone, if you think that Christians are supposed to hate anyone, you really need to read the Bible. Because I have news for you, Jesus is my example in life. He stepped out of heaven, became a servant and a slave, and died by the most awful way for us. He set an example of love that I will follow. I shouldn't love you like I love my wife's cooking. I should love you with a deep and passionate love like Jesus has for me and every other person that has ever lived, is living now, or will live.
